So what do you play when you're not playing the Master System? I like to collect what I think of as the "underdog" consoles. My favorites are the N64, the Sega Saturn and the TurboGrafx 16. I think I like these because the lack of strong 3rd-party support meant that their libraries were packed with unique, exclusive games that couldn't be found on any other system such as Robotica on the Saturn, Splatterhouse on the TG16 and Cruisin' USA on the N64.
So what are your favorites?

My favorites gaming systems in order (if not counting just consoles) are probably...
1.Sega Genesis/Mega Drive 2. PC 3. Atari 2600
I really enjoy Playstations as well, but there isn't enough stuff on a particular one that I can narrow it down.

For me, I collect Mega Drive and Game Gear and I've got a few Mega CD games as well. I enjoy playing on MD a lot lately especially the MicroMachines games and Disney platformers.
Game Gear I mostly love collecting and use it to play my Master System games on with the converter.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the Sega Cd. While it didn't have a very large u.s. library, it certainly had an impressive stable of top notch games - the lunars, shining force cd, popful mail, and snatcher to name a few. And also my all time favorite game for any system - Dark Wizard.

Yeah, I've been wanting to pick one up. I got a model 2 Sega CD off of ebay, but it doesn't work (figured I'd take a chance on it 'cause it came with a model 2 genesis and I needed to replace my model 1 that was getting kind of finnicky). It powers on and I get the startup screen, but the disc won't spin. I can see the laser move, so I know it's not that, but I haven't been able to find any helpful info on how I might fix it.

Basically the sixteen-bit systems had the greatest impact on me so of course:
Sega Genesis Turbografx-16/Super CD SNES
I was initially a stubborn Sega Saturn purist for the better part of the latter half of the 90's however the USA management and lack of commitment to the platform really handcuffed its' potential; as mentioned though it had several awesome games released for it and in Japan it had a great lineup.
Nintendo 64 had outstanding games from a few select genres like the 3D platformer and 3D action/adventure games; I transitioned over to that system after Saturn was finished in 1998.
Last but not least the NES and its' library speaks for itself; I'm sure Sega still regrets that no third-party support policy that they had in place back then.
For some reason I tend to support underdog platforms as well; from SMS, Turbografx Super CD, Saturn, N64 (Compared to PSOne), Gamecube, and now I mainly buy for PSP, in large part because that is where all the Falcom games are but they have a lot of old-fashioned JRPG's for it.

I've always been interested in the Turbograx-16. I remember the commercials on TV and the display at the Dyer Electronics store at the mall. There was a Kay-Bee Toys across from it that I eventually worked at.

Thanks for the link, jessie! I'll try and follow the intructions for disassembling it and see if maybe the spindle is just in there too tight for it to spin. Maybe all I need is to loosen it a bit. I'll let you know how it goes.

Please do! I followed similar instructions to mod my master system to add the RCA jacks. Worked a treat!

Me too! I've had a blast playing the games via ParaJVE. It's too bad the prices they go for these days are so steep.

I love the Vectrex. I had a chance to get one recently from a guy who wanted to trade for pokemon stuff but it just fell through.
