We moved last May and about half the house did not have floors. We still have not finished two bedroom floors so I have not yet set up my gaming stuff. I have been wanting to play my Master System lately since I have picked up a pretty good amount of games in the last year plus. I went ahead and plugged it into the main television in the living room and started playing my pick-ups. I thought I might share my new Master System joy and thoughts on the games.
Dick Tracy-I was shocked by this one. I really have not heard anything good about it, but I thought it was pretty fun. I made it to 4-1 and found that it had some good variation despite everything following the same basic pattern.
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker-About what I expected. I figured I would like it and I did. I made it to the fourth level I believe. I could not figure out how to kill the spiders except for the dance magic which is finite.
Wonder Boy in Monster Land-I did not get too far into this one, but I liked what I saw. I have a feeling I will be playing this until I beat it pretty soon.
Space Harrier-I have Space Harrier 3-D, but I am worried about breaking my 3-D glasses so I do not like playing it too much. It is pretty difficult, but it seemed to play pretty well. I never played the arcade, but it looks like a good approximation from watching videos.
Bomber Raid-This was actually one of my main reasons for hooking up the system. I have been in a shoot'em up mood lately and I have played the only two shooters on my Jaguar (one of my few systems hooked up right now) to exhaustion. I like the power-ups and the helper planes, but it does get really hard in the later stages when you die and have to start over.
I still have a few more new games to try out: Penguin Land, Pro Wrestling, Kenseiden, Lord of the Sword, a couple of sports games, SpellCaster, and I need to see if my new untested Wonder Boy III works.
