I don't play PC games much (unless you count emulators, that is), but I've always loved stuff like the Myst series, Shivers, Safecracker, Beyond Atlantis, etc.
Can anyone recommend any games like that for windows 7? Or tell me how to get older games to run on windows 7? I've thought about trying to use a CDi emulator to play "7th Guest", but other than that, I don't know.

I can't seem to think of a lot like that off the top of my head except the Dracula series, those are really good. But if you are into point and click and if they don't have to be first person, I recommend the Back to the Future series that came out not too long ago. Or another great series is the Sam & Max games. If I think of some more first person ones like you are talking about I will let you know. Here is a wiki link with a little information on where to start. Dracula Resurrection is the first in the series. I highly recommend those. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracula:_Resurrection

Go over to gog.com. They sell classic Windows and DOS games which all run under Windows 7.
Some of the games I've gotten from there which matches what you're asking for is 7th Guest, 11th Hour, Phantasmagoria, and the Kings Quest series.
