During the 2600 era we saw quite the number of interesting and compelling commercials for various games. Some of the games were good, some great but the way Atari pushed some of these games was memorable.

Only thing about that is they used a lot of non game footage and I can imagine the games never really lived up to the hype. Not to say they were bad, but probably not what a lot of people were expecting. Here is a good example and one of my favorites.

I love my Atari 7800. I can't wait until the XM is released for it. I do have more 2600 games for it, although I can play most of them on it (Imagic games sadly do not fit). I mostly play the arcade games I loved as a kid: Galaga, Centipede, Dig Dug, but lately have been finding games I didn't really know back then and really enjoying them. Food Fight is as great as everyone says it is. And once I get the XM, I'll be playing Donkey Kong XM on it. That'll be my first Atari homebrew, and still in beta Endless Snow will be my second. Scramble, Moon Cresta, Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest, and Seaweed Assault are all on my must-have list, too. The game prices are steep for homebrews, but I think they're worth it!

No I have not played my Atari today. I may in fact do so. Thank you for the heads up!

Played mine a few weeks ago. Asteroids and Battlezone are my favourites. The port of Double Dragon is almost unplayable it's so hard.

I love Berserk and Adventure! I played the dickens out of those games when I was younger and still to this day. Atari had its great games!
